This was a big activity day. We raced out the door at 8AM to get to Pete's scuba dive with Hanu Sports. It was a funny coincidence that Lisa, the owner, went to her high school prom with Peter Heller at Saratoga High (i.e., 5 miles from Cupertino). The sea life was interesting -- spotted, leopard and green eels, a sea turtle, as well as rare frogfish and lizard fish were "on the menu" (for viewing, not eating). On the way back to port we saw sportfishermen had landed two huge yellowfin tuna. Most impressive.

While Pete cavorted with sea life, Barb spent the morning in Kona which she found to be quite unimpressive. We then turned around and headed back to the hotel for a quick bite to eat and then we were off to the next activity: Paniolo Adventure's sunset horseback ride.

The ride was in an open range area so the riders were able to spread out and not do the typical "nose to tail" ride. This was much more enjoyable. We got to do some trotting and cantering which Barb enjoyed so much she nearly peed her pants!

Not too shabby a setting, eh?
