What is O'Heckivus?

O'Heckivus is an all inclusive, secular holiday.  It was invented by the O'Heller clan to celebrate the simple things in life without the commercialism associated with other major competing holidays.

What is included?

O'Heckivus emphasizes good times with family, friends, good food, taking walks with pets and, of course, going to lots of movies.  While not officially frowned upon, shopping should be limited to strictly unnecessary items. 

Are gifts and/or decorations required?

Nothing is required.  This is a stress free holiday.  While optional, O'Heckivus greenery has been known to delight millions worldwide.  Additionally, simple gifts are more than acceptable.  Examples could include homemade cards, used clothes from eBay, rejected regifts, or silly/fun things that other holidays turn their nose up to. 

Are there other traditions?

Indeed.  There are a variety of colorful and offbeat traditions.  Again, nothing is required, but this is that one time of year to break out those clothes that delight the wearer while simultaneously giving shudders to family members and friends.  In the same vein, dressing pets in unsuitable attire makes for a great ice breaker.
 

Is Score Kept?

Just kidding.  Of course not.  However, creativity is placed in high regard.  Creating a video or short story is excellent.  Building web pages to create demand for unheard of holidays also counts.
